Anarchy, Authority and Complacency. Johnny Rotten neatly set the relationship between these when interviewed by Janet Street-Porter

On The Genius of British Art tonight on Channel 4 TV.

In the punk era, Johnny Rotten rebelled against authority. But did he? Was it not complacency that was his target.
It struck me that authority sets the conditions where complacency thrives. Without authority, with anarchy, you cannot be complacent.
Remove authority, you remove complacency. To have a healthy society, we have to have some people bucking the trend.

What time is it? Why are they messing with our #clocks again?

I hate this messing with my time twice a year, why don't they just agree on a time ,BST or BST+1, whatever, and stick with it. Forty years ago an experiment was done in the UK where we stayed on BST (GMT + 1) for three years with no seasonal change. Unfortunately the doom and gloom media headlines of children killed on the way to school swayed opinion and the experiment was stopped. At the time analysis of accident figures was not taken into account because it was thought that the recent drink drive legislation may have affected the result. It was only after the decision was made to stop the experiment that more careful analysis showed a true net reduction in accidents. It can't just be me that takes about a week to get back to normal after the clocks change so the cost to the country must be significant. Please stop it!
